By helping CGBG identify and conserve the right land, Land Trusts will:

  • Expand their Land Trust holdings by working with CGBG to conserve new property for the explicit purpose of offering a green burial ground;

  • Receive support to further the Land Trust's strategic planning and implementation by helping to conserve new property;

  • Receive a revenue stream dedicated to the restoration and maintenance of the land in perpetuity;

  • Receive additional revenue in the form of a lease agreement with CGBG;

  • Benefit their community by providing an additional cemetery and land for passive recreational activities;

  • Enjoy expanded partnerships with conservation groups on issues of native ecology and invasive species management through strategic alliances with universities and a network of specialists from around the Country;

  • Benefit from the pursuit of fundraising efforts from public and private sectors to further the aligned goals of CGBG and the conservation organization and;

  • Enjoy widespread recognition as an innovative leader in conservation through a focused campaign of public education and media relations.
